I’ve long used essential oils for aromatherapy, but in the last couple of years I’ve gotten into using them for more practical purposes. This all-purpose spray is what I now use on my kitchen countertops. Don’t get me wrong, if I’m prepping raw meat or fish, I’m still going to clean up with 409. (Germophobe.) For everything else, I use this! It’s easy, inexpensive, non-toxic and you can get creative with the oils that you use. I like lemon essential oil because it’s a powerful cleaner, natural disinfectant, I love the way it smells, and it’s inexpensive. Here’s what you need to make your own non-toxic countertop spray… 16 oz. Glass Spray Bottle ¼ Cup White Vinegar 1¾ Cups Water 30-ish Drops Lemon Essential Oil Pour the ingredients into the glass bottle and shake it up really well. There will be a slight vinegar smell as you use it, but it fades very quickly. What are your favorite practical uses for oils?
