This exercise may just be your new go-to workout when you don't have extra time in your day. I have a love-hate relationship with it. I love it for how effective it is, but it's HARD. The next time you find you don't have time for a proper workout, try this as a mini-workout instead of doing nothing.
There are lots of recipes out there for the famous Pumpkin Spice Latte. I know, because I've looked it up. The closest Starbucks is 40 minutes from my house, so if I want one of these treats, I gotta make it myself. The only problem with the recipes I've found is that most of them require a lot more effort than I’m willing to put in for my morning cup of coffee.
I only drink coffee in the morning, so it goes without saying that I usually don’t have 15 minutes to devote to making this creation, nor do I want to use a coffee maker, saucepan, whisk, blender, etc. and have to clean it all up. All this BEFORE coffee? Can’t do it. Here’s MY take on a homemade PSL... quick and easy.
Plank pose is well known for being a core strengthening pose, but it's underrated as a total body move. YES it's great for your core, but it also strengthens the back, shoulder blades, shoulders, arms, wrists, inner thighs, legs and glutes. Engaging those areas as well as your core gives the pose a lot more strength. Learn how to do a proper plank in this post.
Ferris Bueller said it best: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
A post inspired by Ferris Bueller's Day Off? Yep. That’s exactly what is happening here... I'm blogging about wisdom from a 1986 teen comedy film.
A life lesson I’ve personally learned is: don’t get so booked up and/or run down that you don’t even have the clarity to make sure you’re enjoying life. Do something today that helps you slow down, look around, and hit reset. It’s important. Do it for yourself and your loved ones.
